A half day of crystal river charter fishing can be rewarding
Report Date: July 1, 2007
Fishing in Crystal River has been great. The only bad thing is the heat. So you should get up early early and hit the flats if you want to catch the monster Specled Trout and slot sized Red fish that are in the shallow water.Or you cant wait till about 8:00 a.m. and go to some deeper water where. Father Tim,son Tom,and grand son Zack had great morning catching every thing you could imagine including reds, trout, mackerel, and some great mangrove snapper. The guys caught fish all morning until the tide changed. then we slipped back to some deep holes that were surounded by shallow water. Witch was about 5 or six inches lower than normal due to the full moon one day erlier, and just as I thought the reds had fallen to these holes to stay cool during the low tide. And they started feeding as soon as the tide started to come back in Tim managed to trick one into getting in to our cooler, but mister Zack was not quite ready for what was going to happen next. An absolute fire engine piced up his bait and was headed for the fire!!!! All young zack could say was "MAN THEY PULL HARD" and the battle was over just as fast as it began. Thats OK. Zack,Tim,and,Tom all got a taste of what a good half day guided fishing trip can be like with "Common Hooker Adventures"
